Beat the heat with flavored water Beat the heat with flavored water

Admit it. Sometimes water can get boring. Yet we all know the importance of drinking water. We know staying hydrated boosts energy, curbs hunger, and helps our body work efficiently to stay cool all summer long.

Solution? Adding a little flavor, color and excitement to your water glass! The possibilities are endless – any combo of fruit, veggies, and herbs that appeal to you – can get you slurping down that refreshing water like a champ. Here are a few favorites to get you started.  Just add water and ice!

  1. Berry mint: any berry & torn mint leaves
  2. Watermelon basil: small chunks of watermelon & torn basil leaves
  3. Citrus jalapeno: thin slices of your favorite orange, lemon or lime and thin slices of seeded jalapeno
  4. Cucumber lime: thin slices of both
  5. Cinnamon, apple, apple cider vinegar: sliced apples mixed with a cinnamon stick and 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar can be surprisingly refreshing
