These applesauce pancakes are a simple, delicious breakfast option with a hint of cinnamon and natural sweetness. Perfect for busy mornings, they come together quickly and pair well with fresh fruit like bananas or apples.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup applesauce, unsweetened
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil or non-stick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Wash hands with soap and warm water.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the applesauce, water, eggs, and oil.
  3. Add the flour, sugar, cinnamon, salt, and baking powder. Stir until mostly smooth.
  4. Spray a medium pan with cooking spray or add 1 tablespoon oil over medium heat.
  5. Pour ½ cup batter for each pancake. Cook for about 1 minute, until bubbles form.
  6. Flip and cook 1 more minute, until golden brown.
  7. Repeat with remaining batter.
  8. Serve warm with sliced bananas, apples, or any fruit you have on hand.
